How long does it take to charge a car battery after it runs out of power to resume normal use?

After a car battery runs out of power, the charging time depends on the extent of the battery depletion and the charging current of the charger. Taking a 12V60Ah battery as an example, the charging method uses constant voltage and current limiting. Charge at 14.8V constant voltage and 15A current limiting for 16 hours, then switch to 3A constant current for 4 hours, totaling 20 hours. Methods to restore a depleted battery: 1. Jump-starting: A depleted car battery can be recharged using jumper cables. This involves connecting the battery electrodes of another car using charging cables, then starting the rescue car to charge. After some time, the depleted car can be started. Note: Ensure correct polarity—red cable to positive terminal, black cable to negative terminal. Connect the positive terminal first, then the negative, and avoid any mistakes. 2. Battery repair device: After a car battery runs out of power, it should be charged immediately using a charger. If a regular charger fails to charge, the battery voltage may be insufficient, requiring a repair device to increase the voltage above 10V for charging. If the battery voltage remains below 10V even after charging and repair, the battery must be replaced.
