The air drying time after waxing a car mainly depends on the outdoor temperature. It usually takes about fifteen minutes, and if the temperature is higher, it may dry in just a few minutes. During the use of a car, exposure to wind, sun, and sand can cause some degree of damage to the paint. However, a newly purchased car does not need waxing within the first six months because it comes with wax already applied. Later on, waxing every 2 to 3 months can maintain the smooth and glossy appearance of the paint. In summer, when the weather is hot, metal surfaces can get much hotter than what humans feel, causing significant damage to the car's paint. Waxing not only protects the paint but also provides heat resistance. Car wax can block a lot of ultraviolet rays, preventing the paint from fading or aging.
