Annual inspection cannot be overdue for even a single day. According to Article 47, Paragraph 4 of the "Motor Vehicle Registration Management Regulations," if a vehicle fails to undergo a safety technical inspection within the prescribed period, the public security traffic management department will issue a warning or impose a fine. The annual inspection can only be conducted after the fine is paid. Annual inspection documents required: Original "Motor Vehicle License Plate Application Form" (signed by the authorized person for company vehicles or by the owner for private vehicles), proof of compulsory traffic accident liability insurance for motor vehicles, copy of the vehicle and vessel tax payment or tax exemption certificate, original vehicle safety technical inspection qualification certificate, and original "Motor Vehicle Registration Certificate". Annual inspection time regulations: The annual inspection time for a vehicle is determined based on the initial registration date of the new vehicle. For example, if the initial registration date on the motor vehicle registration certificate is June 2015, then the annual inspection time is every June. Additionally, according to Article 40 of the newly revised "Motor Vehicle Registration Regulations," the owner of the motor vehicle can apply for an inspection qualification mark at the vehicle management office of the registration location up to three months before the expiration of the motor vehicle inspection validity period. This means that vehicles due for inspection in June can undergo the annual inspection at the testing station in April, May, or June.
