Vehicle inspection cannot be delayed. Motor vehicles can undergo annual inspection within 3 months before the expiration date. According to Article 47, Paragraph 4 of the Motor Vehicle Registration Management Measures, if a vehicle fails to undergo safety technical inspection within the specified period, the public security traffic management department will issue a warning or impose a fine. The vehicle can only undergo inspection after the fine is paid. To prepare for the annual vehicle inspection, relevant documents must be gathered, including the original vehicle license, copy of compulsory traffic insurance, photocopy of ID card, and the vehicle itself. For company-owned vehicles, additional documents of the agent are required. Annual inspection considerations: 1. Check for any traffic violations and handle them promptly; 2. Ensure the trunk has a fire extinguisher and warning triangle; 3. Replace the license plate in advance if it is damaged, worn, or faded.

As an ordinary car owner, I've also delayed my vehicle inspection due to a busy work schedule. Generally, the DMV regulations consider it relatively safe to postpone for no more than 30 days, otherwise, you may face a fine of 200 yuan and penalty points. For example, last time I postponed for 20 days due to a business trip and passed without any fine; but my neighbor delayed for three months and had their car impounded with a fine. Common reasons for postponement include forgetting or bad weather. I recommend setting a phone reminder to go one week before the deadline to avoid risks. Long-term failure to inspect may invalidate your insurance, leading to no compensation in case of an accident, and the car might even be scrapped. Vehicle inspection is crucial for safety—don't take shortcuts by delaying too long. Getting inspected on time saves you more hassle.

From a maintenance perspective, I'd like to remind you that the annual vehicle inspection checks brake performance, emissions, and safety features. A delay of a few days isn't a major issue, but it's advisable not to exceed the one-month limit. Otherwise, driving with an expired inspection decal may result in traffic police fines. I've seen cases where prolonged delays led to system lockouts, requiring additional re-inspection. Special circumstances like epidemics may qualify for a one-week extension upon providing proof. Timely inspections ensure proper lighting and tire conditions, which are crucial for road safety. It's best to make an appointment with the DMV in advance to save time. Remember that insurance is also tied to regular inspections - prolonged delays could void your coverage, leading to significant losses.

Where is the windshield washer nozzle located?

Car windshield washer nozzles are located under the hood, inside the engine compartment near the bottom of the front windshield. For most vehicles, the windshield washer control is on the wiper control stalk on the right side of the steering wheel - typically operated by pulling it toward yourself and holding for a moment. Important note: If no washer fluid sprays when activating the control, do not repeatedly operate it as this may indicate the washer fluid reservoir is empty. In this case, check and refill the washer fluid before operating again. Here's some information about washer fluid: 1. Cleaning performance: Washer fluid typically has wetting, penetrating, and solubilizing functions to effectively clean and remove dirt. 2. Antifreeze performance: The presence of alcohol and ethylene glycol significantly lowers the freezing point of the liquid, providing antifreeze protection and quickly dissolving frost.

Should You Press the Brake Pedal When the Vehicle Deviates from Its Direction?

Do not press the brake pedal. During braking on slippery roads, pressing the brake pedal can easily cause the vehicle to roll over, which is very dangerous. The specific analysis is as follows: 1. If the rear wheels remain locked without releasing the pedal, the vehicle may experience a tailspin. 2. If the front wheels remain locked without releasing the pedal, the vehicle may lose directional control. Precautions for driving in rainy weather: 1. Maintain a safe distance: Rain reduces visibility, making it harder to judge the distance between vehicles accurately. 2. Drive at a lower speed: Wet roads increase the risk of sudden braking failure at high speeds. 3. Turn on fog lights in heavy rain: Heavy rain and fog reduce visibility, significantly increasing driving hazards due to narrowed sightlines.

What Causes the Squeaking Noise from the Vehicle's Pulley?

The causes of abnormal noise from the pulley can be attributed to the following three points: 1. Aging of the Drive Belt: The drive belt is primarily made of rubber, which tends to harden and become brittle over prolonged use, leading to a decrease in friction coefficient. This affects power transmission, causing slippage and resulting in abnormal noise. 2. Insufficient Belt Tension: When the belt tension is insufficient, the belt is prone to slippage, similar to an aged belt. Belts are automatically adjusted for tightness via a large spring mechanism that presses on the belt. If the belt is too loose, the friction decreases, leading to noise due to slippage. 3. Severe Belt Wear: When the vehicle's belt is severely worn, the contact area between the belt and the pulley significantly reduces. Pressing the belt hard causes it to sink deeply into the pulley's groove, making rotation strenuous and producing abnormal noise.
