How Long Before a Motorhome is Scrapped?
1 Answers
The scrapping period for a motorhome depends on its size and passenger capacity. Motorhomes classified as small non-commercial passenger vehicles have no mandatory scrapping period, while medium and large non-commercial passenger motorhomes have a scrapping period of 20 years. According to the mandatory vehicle scrapping standards, small and micro non-commercial passenger vehicles, large non-commercial cars, and wheeled special machinery vehicles have no usage period limit, whereas medium and large non-commercial passenger vehicles have a usage period of 20 years. The starting date of the vehicle's service life is calculated based on the registration date. However, if the vehicle has not been registered within two years from the date of manufacture, the service life is calculated from the manufacturing date.
