There is no specific regulation on the time to get the license plate after paying the new car purchase tax, but the vehicle must obtain a temporary license plate or be legally registered to drive on the road. The relevant introduction is as follows: First, if you have obtained a motor vehicle but have not yet registered it, and need to drive temporarily within the administrative area, a temporary driving license plate with a validity period of no more than 15 days will be issued. If you need to drive temporarily across administrative areas, a temporary driving license plate with a validity period of no more than 30 days will be issued. Second, when the owner of the motor vehicle needs to apply for a temporary driving license plate multiple times, the vehicle management office may issue temporary driving license plates no more than three times. For ordinary new car drivers, the maximum time for using temporary license plates is 45 days.
