After completing Subject 3, you can take Subject 4 on the same day. There is no limit to the number of attempts for Subject 4, as long as you pass it within the validity period of the driving test. If you fail the Subject 4 exam, you can retake it after a 10-day interval. Subject 4, also known as the Subject 4 theory test or driver theory test, is part of Subject 3. The Subject 3 exam consists of two components: the road test and an additional safety and civics knowledge test, commonly referred to as Subject 4, which evaluates driving ethics. The Subject 4 test consists of 50 questions, presented in the form of case studies, images, animations, etc., with a perfect score of 100 and a passing score of 90. The test duration is 30 minutes, and if you make mistakes totaling 12 points (i.e., 6 questions), the test will be terminated. The safety and civilized driving knowledge test includes requirements for safe and civilized driving operations, knowledge of safe driving under adverse weather and complex road conditions, emergency handling methods for situations such as tire blowouts, and post-accident handling knowledge. Depending on the type of driver's license being tested, 50 questions are randomly selected from the corresponding Subject 4 question bank in proportion for the test.
