Polishing is a method of automotive paint care used to remove oxidized paint and various contaminants from the vehicle body, eliminate fine scratches, and address minor paint damage and stains. The steps for bumper polishing include: 1. Clean with a high-degreasing paint cleaner; 2. Use a mechanical polisher with coarse polishing compound to rough grind the water sandpaper marks; 2. Then polish with polishing compound for fine grinding; 3. Use a mechanical polisher with mirror finish compound to remove swirl marks left by the coarse polishing compound; 5. Wipe off the polishing compound, and use a cotton cloth with polishing wax to wipe the polished area; 6. Use a dry cotton cloth to remove excess polishing wax.
