After a drunk driving offense, if the license is downgraded from B2 to C1, one can apply to upgrade back to B2 one year after completing the downgrade and license replacement procedures. Below are the relevant details: Upgrade conditions: The applicant must not have accumulated 12 penalty points in the current scoring cycle or the most recent scoring cycle before applying, and must not have been involved in a traffic accident resulting in death with equal or greater responsibility. Important notes: Drivers who drink and drive commercial vehicles will face up to 15 days of detention, revocation of their motor vehicle driving license, and will be ineligible to apply for a driving license for 5 years. If the offense involves drunk driving a commercial vehicle, the driver cannot apply for a license for 10 years, and upon regaining the license, they are prohibited from driving commercial vehicles.
