How is the fuel surcharge calculated?

The fuel surcharge rate is adjusted periodically based on international oil prices. The corresponding rates for each period can be found on the federal website. Once the rate is determined, for example, it should be 15.5% starting in April. If the freight cost is 100, then the fuel surcharge would be 100*0.155=15.5, making the total freight cost 100+15.5=115.5. If the freight cost includes additional fees, such as address change fees or long-distance delivery fees, the total freight cost would be (100+80)*(1+0.155)=207.9.
