How fast can the GSX250 go?

This motorcycle has a top speed of 205km/h, but the maximum speed on highways cannot exceed 120km/h. The following introduces the relevant regulations and precautions for high-speed driving: Relevant regulations for high-speed driving: According to Article 78 of the "Implementation Regulations of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China", highways shall indicate the speed limit for each lane. The maximum speed shall not exceed 120 kilometers per hour, and the minimum speed shall not be lower than 60 kilometers per hour. On highways, the maximum speed for small passenger vehicles shall not exceed 120 kilometers per hour, for other motor vehicles shall not exceed 100 kilometers per hour, and for motorcycles shall not exceed 80 kilometers per hour. Precautions for high-speed driving: If there are 2 lanes in the same direction, the minimum speed for the left lane is 100 kilometers per hour. If there are 3 or more lanes in the same direction, the minimum speed for the leftmost lane is 110 kilometers per hour, and the minimum speed for the middle lane is 90 kilometers per hour. If the speed limit indicated by road signs is inconsistent with the above lane speed regulations, the speed limit indicated by the road signs shall be followed.
I've been riding the GSX250R for two years, and the speedometer showed a top speed of around 145km/h. Actually, a 250cc displacement is about this level, and the manual also states a top speed of 140km/h. However, reaching top speed requires a long straight road and full throttle, and the lightweight body makes it prone to instability. It's hardly ever needed in the city; cruising at 70-80km/h on highways is the most comfortable. By the way, the stock tires' grip noticeably worsens above 110km/h, so extra caution is needed in the rain. Modifying the exhaust or removing the speed limiter offers limited improvement; it's better to save up for a bigger displacement bike.
According to the official specifications, the GSX250R has a designed top speed of 140km/h. However, actual test results depend on conditions. During my last test on a closed track with full throttle in 6th gear, the speedometer showed it couldn't exceed 142km/h. With tailwind and downhill, it might reach 145km/h, but the bike vibrates intensely at that point. This motorcycle has good low-end torque, achieving 0-100km/h in just over 9 seconds, but shows noticeable power drop at high RPMs. In comparison, the Yamaha R25 in the same class can reach 160km/h due to its significantly higher power output. I'd advise against prolonged extreme riding as it puts considerable stress on the cooling system.
