After receiving an oil change reminder, the car can still be driven, but the distance should not be too long. Composition of Engine Oil: Engine oil consists of two parts: base oil and additives. The base oil is the main component of lubricating oil, determining its basic properties, while additives compensate for and improve the shortcomings of the base oil, giving it new properties. Engine oil is an essential component of a car. The engine is the heart of a car, containing many metal parts that move against each other at high speeds, in harsh environments, and at high temperatures. Function of Engine Oil: Engine oil, also known as motor lubricant, has a density of approximately 0.91×103 (kg/m3). It lubricates and reduces friction, assists in cooling, seals against leaks, prevents rust and corrosion, and dampens vibrations. It is often referred to as the 'blood' of a car. Types of Engine Oil: Gasoline engine oils are divided into mineral oils and synthetic oils, with synthetic oils further categorized into semi-synthetic and full-synthetic oils.

This is a very practical issue, and my car often has this light on too. The oil life monitoring system is reminding you to change the oil, indicating that the oil performance is starting to degrade. Conservatively, it's recommended not to drive more than 800 kilometers, especially if you frequently drive on highways. Last week, my neighbor pushed it to 1,200 kilometers, and the engine ended up seizing, costing over 8,000 yuan to repair. It's best to get maintenance done as soon as possible and also check the condition of the filter. After all, fresh oil is crucial for engine protection. If you often encounter heavy traffic or drive on mountain roads, you should further reduce this mileage by 30% to be safe.

I've learned my lesson the hard way before! Now I make sure to get maintenance within three days of the warning light coming on. The engine relies entirely on oil for lubrication. Expired oil is like ineffective blood - when its viscosity drops, you can hear the piston rings squeaking from wear. On regular city roads, you can push it for at most 500 kilometers. With full synthetic oil, you might make it to 800 kilometers. Always check the oil dipstick marks - if it's below the minimum line, don't even drive 100 kilometers. Once on the highway when the oil warning came on, I immediately slowed to 60 km/h just to make it to the service area.

It really depends on the specific condition of the car. My old Buick once ran for 300 kilometers maximum after the warning light came on. Newer cars with more precise electronic systems might last a bit longer. But never exceed 1,000 kilometers, otherwise the friction coefficient between piston rings and cylinder walls can triple, leading to costly repairs. By the way, persistently driving like this will cause carbon deposits to skyrocket and increase fuel consumption by about 2 liters per 100 kilometers. So it's better to change the oil as soon as possible - maintenance costs are much cheaper than engine repairs anyway.

What is the load limit for a four-axle vehicle?

Four-axle vehicles have a load limit of 31 tons. They are flexible, stable, and in high demand in the industry, but their body weight is at least around 10 tons. Therefore, some regions still set the overload limit for four-axle vehicles at 36 tons. However, according to the official regulations, the load limit for four-axle vehicles will be uniformly set at 31 tons. Overload and over-limit criteria include: total width not exceeding 2.55 meters or length not exceeding 18.1 meters, total height of the vehicle and cargo exceeding 4 meters from the ground, total width of the vehicle and cargo exceeding 2.55 meters, total length of the vehicle and cargo exceeding 18.1 meters, total mass of a two-axle truck and its cargo exceeding 18,000 kilograms, total mass of a three-axle truck and its cargo exceeding 25,000 kilograms, total mass of a three-axle vehicle and its cargo exceeding 27,000 kilograms, and total mass of a four-axle truck and its cargo exceeding 31,000 kilograms.

What does the A/C button in the car mean?

The A/C button in the car refers to the air conditioning cooling button. Air conditioning cooling: When you press the A/C button in the car, the air conditioning compressor clutch engages, and the car's air conditioning compressor starts working. This causes the engine to drive the compressor, initiating the cooling process, and the air conditioner begins to blow cold air. When the AC light turns on after pressing the AC button, it indicates that the car's air conditioning cooling function is in operation. Types of car air conditioning: Car air conditioning is divided into cold air conditioning and warm air conditioning. Warm air conditioning does not require turning on the air conditioning switch; you only need to activate the blower to utilize the engine's heat for warming. This is because the warm air in a car's air conditioning system is not produced by the compressor but relies on the engine's coolant temperature to provide the heat source.

What are the symptoms of a faulty engine solenoid valve?

When the engine solenoid valve is faulty, the following symptoms may occur: unstable engine idle; jerking when shifting gears; engine prone to stalling; abnormal increase in fuel consumption. In severe cases, there may be issues such as incorrect mixture concentration, excessive oil vapor in the engine, and weak ignition. Automotive Solenoid Valve: Automotive solenoid valves are actuators in the electronic control system. They can be categorized by function into shift solenoid valves, lock-up solenoid valves, and pressure-regulating solenoid valves, and by operation mode into on-off solenoid valves and pulse-width modulated solenoid valves. Solenoid Valve Trouble Codes: First, read the trouble codes by connecting a diagnostic tool to access the automatic transmission control unit and query the stored trouble codes. If a sensor signal loss that prevents the automatic transmission control unit from identifying shift timing occurs, or if a shift solenoid valve stores a trouble code, the automatic transmission will enter a fail-safe mode.

What are the reasons for high car water temperature?

High car water temperature is caused by issues such as damage to the cooling system's radiator fan. Hazards of high water temperature: After the engine cooling system overheats, the cooling system pipes may burst, or the heater core may rupture, leading to water damage to electrical components in the cabin. It can also damage the engine cylinder head gasket. If the cylinder head gasket is damaged, coolant may enter the combustion chamber and participate in combustion, potentially bending the connecting rod. Excessive engine temperature can cause engine oil to become too thin, reducing its ability to effectively lubricate internal engine components, leading to accelerated wear of engine bearings, crankshaft scoring, and piston seizure. Maintenance misconceptions: Blindly removing the engine thermostat; believing that engine temperature should be kept as low as possible; thinking that the tighter the water pump fan belt, the better; warming up the engine at idle; using a blowtorch to heat the oil pan.

Does a 7-speed dry DSG require oil change?

7-speed dry DSG requires transmission oil replacement. Transmission Concept: Transmission mainly refers to the vehicle's gearbox, which is divided into manual and automatic types. Manual transmissions primarily consist of gears and shafts, achieving speed and torque variation through different gear combinations; whereas automatic transmissions (AT) are composed of torque converters, planetary gears, and hydraulic control systems, achieving speed and torque variation via hydraulic transmission and gear combinations. Transmission Functions: Altering the transmission ratio; enabling the vehicle to reverse while maintaining the engine's rotation direction; utilizing neutral gear to interrupt power transmission, allowing the engine to start, idle, and facilitating gear shifting or power output.
