According to Article 40 of Order No. 102 from the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China, vehicle owners may apply for the inspection compliance sticker at the vehicle registration office up to three months before the expiration of the current inspection period. Before applying, the vehicle owner must resolve all traffic violations and accident liabilities associated with the vehicle. Additional information: Lost inspection sticker: If the annual inspection sticker is lost, it can be reissued. Bring the original and a copy of the vehicle registration certificate and the owner's ID card to the local vehicle management office or inspection station in the city where the vehicle is registered. A reissue application form must be completed, stating the reason for the reissue. Upon approval, a new inspection sticker will be printed on-site.

I've been driving for twenty years and remember that the annual vehicle inspection sticker can be obtained up to 90 days before its expiration date, which is a full three months in advance. I always prefer going to the inspection station early to avoid the last-minute crowds and long queues. Last time, being just one day late cost me a two-hour wait—exhausting! The inspection isn’t just about getting the sticker; it also involves checking critical components like lights and brakes. If any issues are found, they should be fixed to ensure road safety. I recommend planning ahead and bringing your vehicle registration and ID to the DMV or authorized stations. It usually takes about half an hour to complete, and you can avoid peak times to save yourself some hassle. This 90-day advance period is well-designed to ensure your vehicle remains in stable condition, preventing last-minute problems that could cause delays.

I often tell my friends that the vehicle inspection sticker can be obtained three months in advance, which is the standard time stipulated by traffic laws. If you wait until the last few days of the validity period and any issues are detected, there might not be enough time to repair the car, leading to expiration—resulting in fines, points deducted, and even affecting insurance claims. It's better to go early to ensure the car is in good condition, with working lights and responsive brakes, so you can drive with peace of mind. Remember to bring the necessary documents and choose a weekday with fewer people at the inspection station. The process is straightforward, and the staff will guide you. Safety comes first—regular inspections help prevent potential risks and protect you and your family. This 90-day buffer period gives us ample time to handle any unexpected situations.

I just bought a new car last year and learned that the annual inspection sticker can be obtained up to 90 days in advance, which is very convenient with a three-month lead time. You can go to the vehicle management office or an authorized inspection station, bring your ID card and vehicle license, fill out a form, and have your lights and tires checked. Once passed, you can get the sticker directly. The process is quick and efficient, so it's advisable to plan ahead to avoid forgetting. The annual inspection ensures the safety of your car, such as verifying the proper functioning of the braking system, giving you more peace of mind on the highway. The rules are the same for both new and old cars, so getting it done early is a relief.

What is the minimum cc required for motorcycles to ride on highways?

Any motorcycle powered by a fuel engine with a displacement exceeding 50cc (including 50cc) is classified as a motor vehicle. Therefore, motorcycles with displacements over 50cc are permitted on highways. However, riders must wear helmets, maintain speeds between 60-80 km/h, are prohibited from carrying passengers, and must ride in the far-right lane. Below are the regulations regarding motorcycles on highways: 1. Article 67 of the "Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" stipulates: Pedestrians, non-motorized vehicles, tractors, wheeled special-purpose motor vehicles, articulated buses, full trailers, and other motor vehicles with a designed maximum speed below 70 km/h are prohibited from entering highways. The above regulations do not include a ban on motorcycles. 2. Section 5, Article 78 of the "Implementation Regulations of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" states: Highways shall indicate the speed limits for lanes, with the maximum speed not exceeding 120 km/h and the minimum speed not below 60 km/h. On highways, the maximum speed for small passenger vehicles shall not exceed 120 km/h, while other motor vehicles shall not exceed 100 km/h, and motorcycles shall not exceed 80 km/h. According to these speed limits, motorcycles are only allowed to ride in the outermost lane of the highway. 3. Section 5, Article 83 of the "Implementation Regulations of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" states: Cargo vehicles traveling on highways are prohibited from carrying passengers in their cargo compartments. Two-wheeled motorcycles are prohibited from carrying passengers while riding on highways.

Why Do Cars Experience Tire Wear?

Cars experience tire wear for the following reasons: 1. Tire wear refers to abnormal tire wear, often caused by deviations in the camber or toe angles, resulting in uneven tire contact with the ground. 2. Generally, this issue can be resolved through wheel balancing or four-wheel alignment. However, if the vehicle has been involved in an accident that damaged components like the rear axle—though not visibly apparent—four-wheel alignment may not suffice. In such cases, chassis alignment equipment or replacement of parts is necessary. Additional details are as follows: 1. Tires are components mounted on metal rims that support the vehicle's weight, absorb shocks during driving, and ensure contact between the car and the road. They withstand various deformation loads and extreme temperatures, offering strong load-bearing capacity, high wear resistance, and low rolling resistance. 2. As one of the most critical components of a car, tires ensure driving safety and play a vital role. Without tires, a car cannot operate on the road, making them an essential part that requires regular maintenance.

How to Determine if a Car's Oxygen Sensor is Damaged?

Here are the methods and precautions for determining if a car's oxygen sensor is damaged: 1. You can judge by observing the appearance color of the oxygen sensor. The normal tip color is light gray. If it is white or brown, it indicates damage, and the car's oxygen sensor must be replaced at this time. 2. When driving normally, try to keep it as smooth as possible. Unless it's an emergency or poor road conditions, try to minimize violent shaking and impacts on the car body, and also avoid scraping the undercarriage (especially near the tailpipe). 3. Pay attention to the sensor wire. During regular vehicle maintenance, be careful not to pull the wires excessively. Like other electronic devices, if the wire connections are unreliable, it will affect the normal operation of the oxygen sensor. 4. Be cautious with the tailpipe when washing the car after turning off the engine. Because the exhaust pipe of the tailpipe gets very hot during use, if the tailpipe is accidentally rinsed during car washing, the exhaust pipe may cool down rapidly due to external influences, which could cause the ceramic sensitive element of the oxygen sensor to crack. 5. Develop a habit of checking every 30,000 kilometers. It's best to inspect the oxygen sensor every 30,000 kilometers of vehicle use. If the sensor shows signs of aging or has already failed, clean it immediately or replace it with a new one.

What Happens When Transmission Fluid Gets Dirty?

It will significantly affect the lifespan of various components. Below are the consequences of dirty transmission fluid: 1. Firstly, the aging and degradation of the fluid will reduce the wear resistance of internal transmission components, greatly impacting their lifespan. Secondly, the sludge and impurities in the dirty fluid will increase the wear on friction plates and other components, and also affect the system's oil pressure, thereby hindering power transmission. 2. The sludge and impurities in the dirty fluid can obstruct the flow of oil in the valve body and oil pipes, affecting oil pressure. This can result in slow acceleration or failure of the automatic transmission. In severe cases, it may even cause a lack of oil pressure in a certain gear, leading to burnt friction plates and loss of power transmission. Therefore, vehicle owners should pay attention to maintenance and fluid replacement. Different car manufacturers have varying replacement intervals for their brands, so refer to your vehicle's manual and replace the fluid when due. Generally, the replacement mileage is between 40,000 to 60,000 kilometers, or if the vehicle has been idle for over a year. If the vehicle is used under harsh conditions, it is essential to replace the transmission fluid ahead of schedule based on the maintenance time and mileage.
