How Does Total Loss Car Insurance Work?
1 Answers
After a collision, if the engine and the driver's compartment are damaged, it can be defined as a total loss. If the water level exceeds half of the car's height, it can also be defined as a total loss. If the car body has been burned by fire, and the burned area exceeds 60% of the car body, it can be defined as a total loss. In such cases, the car can only be scrapped. Once defined as a total loss, the insurance company will provide corresponding compensation based on the extent of liability.
