How Does a Car Horn Circuit Work?
1 Answers
When the horn button on the steering wheel or other locations is pressed, current from the battery flows through the circuit to the electromagnetic coil of the horn relay. The electromagnetic coil attracts the movable contact switch of the relay to close, allowing current to flow to the horn. This current activates the electromagnet inside the horn, causing the diaphragm to vibrate and produce sound. Types of Car Horns: 1. According to the sound-producing mechanism, car horns can be divided into electric horns and air horns; 2. Based on their shape, car horns can be classified as spiral, cylindrical, or disc-shaped; 3. By frequency, car horns can be categorized as high-pitched or low-pitched horns; 4. According to the wiring method, car horns can be single-wire or double-wire horns.
