Have All Provincial Border Toll Stations Been Removed?

Starting from 00:00 on January 1, 2020, all provincial border toll stations have been removed, connecting over 9,000 kilometers of Guangdong's expressways into a nationwide network and initiating a new toll collection model. Except as otherwise stipulated by the State Council, all toll reduction and exemption policies and other preferential measures are implemented through the ETC system. After the removal of toll stations, a small number of manual toll lanes remain at entrance and exit toll stations. Vehicles without ETC can still use the method of collecting a toll card at the entrance toll station and stopping to hand in the card and pay at the exit toll station to travel on the expressway. ETC refers to the Electronic Toll Collection system, which is an automatic toll collection system for expressways or bridges.
