Has the Violent Vehicle Inspection Been Canceled?

Violent vehicle inspection has not been canceled yet. As of now, the government has not issued any relevant policies. New Changes in Vehicle Annual Inspection: According to the spirit of the "National Development and Reform Commission's Notice on Further Regulating Government-Priced Operational Service Charges," the cost of motor vehicle annual inspections has increased. Reasons for the Increase in Inspection Fees: As explained by the traffic management department, the increase in annual inspection fees is mainly due to the implementation of the National VI emission standards, which has led to higher costs. For exhaust emission testing, inspections for the integrity of pollution control devices have been added, some vehicles now require OBD inspections, and diesel vehicles have additional NOx emission tests, all contributing to the increased costs.
Recently, I went for my vehicle inspection myself and found it much easier than in previous years, no longer the brutal process it used to be. Policies have indeed changed, simplifying the annual inspection cycle for private cars. For example, vehicles over 15 years old now require an inspection once a year instead of every six months, and some unnecessary hassle has been removed from the inspection items. I remember the long queues and inspectors nitpicking minor issues in the past, but now the process is much faster, saving both money and time. Of course, I still recommend everyone to pay attention to regular car maintenance and not slack off to avoid safety issues. If there are problems with brakes or lights, get them fixed promptly—this ensures peace of mind while driving, rather than waiting until the inspection to address them.
