As of now, the Subject 2 driving test has not added any new examination items. On April 1, 2022, the newly revised "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses" and "Administrative Measures for Scoring of Road Traffic Safety Violations" will indeed be implemented, but there are no additions to the Subject 2 test items. Article 33 of the newly revised "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses" (Ministry of Public Security Order No. 162) stipulates the following content for the Subject 2 test: (1) For large buses, heavy-duty trailer trucks, city buses, medium-sized buses, and large trucks, the test includes: pile test, hill-start, parallel parking, driving through a single-plank bridge, curve driving, right-angle turn, driving through a limited-width gate, narrow road U-turn, as well as simulated highway driving, continuous sharp turns on mountainous roads, tunnel driving, driving in rain (fog) conditions, slippery road driving, and emergency handling; (2) For small cars and low-speed trucks, the test includes: reverse parking, hill-start, parallel parking, curve driving, and right-angle turn; (3) For small automatic transmission cars and small automatic transmission passenger cars for the disabled, the test includes: reverse parking, parallel parking, curve driving, and right-angle turn. From this, it can be seen that the Subject 2 test items remain the same as before, with no new additions. As for whether there will be additions in the future, it is currently unknown. Even if there are, they will be determined by the traffic management authorities. Generally, based on the national standard test items, local provincial public security traffic departments may add test items according to local conditions. For example, in Guizhou, due to frequent rain and numerous tunnels, the Subject 2 test has added two items: simulated tunnel driving and simulated rain (fog) slippery road driving.
