Has the Koleos Brake Failure Issue Been Resolved?

The Koleos brake failure issue has not yet been resolved. The causes of brake failure include lack of maintenance on the brake system, improper operation, and severe overloading. Lack of maintenance on the brake system: Excessive impurities in the brake master cylinder, poor sealing, failure of the vacuum booster pump, contaminated brake fluid or the formation of vapor lock due to mixing different types of brake fluid under heat, leakage in the brake master cylinder or wheel cylinder, and air leakage in the air reservoir or pipeline connections. Improper operation: Mechanical failure caused by improper operation, such as prolonged downhill driving which can cause the brake pads to overheat, carbonization of the brake drum, and complete loss of braking function. Severe overloading: Severe overloading increases the vehicle's momentum due to gravitational acceleration, directly leading to brake failure.
Last year when I was driving my Corolla, the brakes suddenly didn't work well, especially when going downhill on mountain roads—the pedal felt soft, which gave me quite a scare. I immediately pulled over, turned on the hazard lights, and called for help. After being towed to the 4S shop for inspection, they found air bubbles had seeped into the brake fluid. The issue was fixed by bleeding the system and refilling the fluid. The dealer mentioned that some batches of this model indeed had minor design flaws, but the manufacturer has now rolled out a software upgrade and component replacement campaign. After servicing, my car's brakes became as responsive as new. They advised owners to regularly check the braking system—don't wait for an issue to arise before acting, as safety comes first. Pay attention to brake response while driving; if there's any delay or unusual noise, get it repaired immediately—life is no joke.
