As of November 2021, the rust issue with the Corolla has been resolved. New accessories added to the latest Corolla model: The new Corolla has introduced a sports kit for the sport version, which includes front and rear aerodynamic bumpers, a sporty mesh piano black front grille, and sport-style exclusive seats. The gasoline sport version also features a lowered body stance. The exterior of the new Corolla sport version is more distinctive and aggressive. Interior of the new Corolla: The sport version has added red trim elements distributed on the door panels and center console, with the red and black color scheme enhancing the sporty feel. The overall design style continues that of the previous Corolla model, with no significant changes. In terms of details, the front armrest now features a front and rear sliding function, improving practicality.
My Levin started showing some rust spots around the rear wheel arches after about three years of driving, especially noticeable after rainy days. When I took it to the 4S店 for maintenance, the technician confirmed that this area is prone to water accumulation and rusting. They sanded down the rust spots, reapplied anti-rust paint, and recommended paying extra attention to the sealing strips and drainage holes during annual undercarriage inspections. The newer Levin models have improved drainage in the frame design and use more galvanized steel sheets, but as an older model owner, it's best to develop a habit: have the car wash staff thoroughly rinse off mud from the undercarriage each time, and dry any accumulated water around the door edges with a towel after the rainy season. I also joined a car owners' group and found that those in northern areas using snow-melting agents face more rust issues—they now regularly apply anti-rust coatings.
