Has the Accord Stalling Issue Been Resolved?

Currently, the issue has been resolved. Honda officially recalled all affected vehicles earlier and installed devices to optimize the airflow velocity at the intercooler outlet for free, in order to eliminate the potential hazard. Below is relevant information about the Accord stalling incident: 1. Fault Feedback: Starting from May 2020, there have been continuous complaints from car owners about sudden loss of speed while driving in rainy conditions, with 4S shops unable to identify the cause of the fault. 2. Official Response: Due to the design of airflow velocity at the engine intercooler outlet, when driving in high-temperature and high-humidity environments such as heavy rain, a small amount of condensed water may accumulate at the intercooler outlet. In such cases, rapid acceleration may cause condensed water droplets to be sucked into the combustion chamber, leading to engine misfire. In extreme cases, this may cause the engine to enter protection mode, resulting in limited acceleration while driving and posing a safety hazard.
I'm an Accord owner. Last year, my car experienced a stalling issue, which was quite scary – it suddenly shut down on the highway. Honda had already issued a recall in 2019 for a fuel pump defect that could easily cause the engine to stop. I went to the dealership, and they replaced the pump for free. The whole process was quick, taking less than two hours. It's been over a year since then, and I haven’t had any similar issues. The car accelerates smoothly now, and the fuel consumption is normal. Talking to other Accord owners, the feedback after the recall has been positive, and Honda handled it quite well. I recommend owners of older Accord models check their recall status as soon as possible and not delay – safety first. During regular maintenance, pay extra attention to the fuel pump condition to prevent potential risks.
