Has the A-pillar of the INSPIRE been reinforced?

As of March 2021, there has been no reinforcement yet. Specific results: The China Insurance Automotive Safety Index (C-IASI) officially released the evaluation results for the second batch of INSPIRE models in 2019. The Dongfeng Honda INSPIRE received ratings of P (Poor) in the Crashworthiness & Repair Economy Index, M (Marginal) in the Occupant Safety Index, G (Good) in the Pedestrian Safety Index, and G (Good) in the Vehicle Assistance Safety Index. The detailed results include one P, two M's, and three G's. C-IASI Test: As a model built on the "same platform," the Honda Accord underwent C-IASI testing first. Although it only received an A (Acceptable) rating in the 25% offset collision test, the A-pillar did not show significant deformation.
I've been driving the Inspire for over two years now, and I must say the A-pillar feels exceptionally sturdy. Commuting daily through the city, the visibility when turning is very clear, unlike some older models where overly thick A-pillars obstruct the view. Once, I accidentally brushed against a roadside pole, and the side impact was quite strong, but the A-pillar didn't deform at all, and there was no sense of vibration inside the car. Honda has put a lot of effort into safety design, using high-strength steel to reinforce key parts of the body, consistently ranking at the top in crash tests. Considering safety when buying a car is a must, and the Inspire hasn't disappointed in this regard. I also recommend having the technician check the body structure during regular maintenance to ensure everything is secure. Don't underestimate these small details; they contribute to the peace of mind in daily driving.
