Does Tire Pressure Increase in Hot Weather?

Tire pressure does increase in hot weather. According to the international standard GBT2978-2008, the standard tire pressure is 2.4-2.5 bar. During hot summer weather, the tire pressure should generally be maintained at the lower limit of the standard range, which is 2.4 bar. Hazards of excessive tire pressure: Reduced friction and adhesion of the tire, affecting braking performance; Causes steering wheel vibration and deviation, reducing driving comfort; Accelerates wear on the central tread pattern of the tire, shortening its lifespan; Increases vehicle vibration, indirectly affecting the lifespan of other components; Overextends the tire cords, reducing the elasticity of the tire body and increasing the load on the vehicle during driving; Decreases puncture resistance. When encountering sharp objects like nails or glass on the road, they can easily penetrate the tire, leading to internal cracks or blowouts, resulting in a tire burst.
