Xingyue does not support CarPlay functionality. The Xingyue L will be equipped with Geely's GKUI Geek Intelligent Ecosystem, which does not support CarPlay. Related details are as follows: Xingyue L configuration introduction: In terms of power, the new vehicle is equipped with Volvo's Drive-E series 2.0TD direct-injection engine across the entire lineup. The front-wheel-drive low-power version has a maximum power of 160kW and a maximum torque of 325Nm, paired with a 7-speed DCT wet dual-clutch transmission; the four-wheel-drive high-power version has a maximum power of 175kW and a maximum torque of 350Nm, matched with an Aisin 8AT transmission. Function of CarPlay: CarPlay seamlessly integrates the user's iOS device and iOS experience with the dashboard system. If a user's car is equipped with CarPlay, they can connect devices like the iPhone and use the car's built-in display and controls, or interact via Siri's hands-free functionality. Users can easily and safely make calls, listen to music, send and receive messages, use navigation, and more.
I've driven the Xingyue many times, and this car indeed comes with CarPlay functionality, especially common in the new high-end models, which makes connecting an iPhone super convenient. While driving, you can directly use CarPlay for navigation or playing music without fumbling with the phone screen, reducing the risk of distraction. You can usually check the vehicle manual or the infotainment system settings; if supported, just plug in the Apple cable into the USB port to activate it automatically. CarPlay not only enhances the driving experience but also makes journeys safer. In case your model is an older or lower-spec version without CarPlay, don't worry—consider a software update for the infotainment system or installing an aftermarket accessory. In short, having it makes driving much more worry-free, and I recommend everyone try this practical feature.
From the perspective of the automotive system, CarPlay is well compatible with the Xingyue, with most models after 2020 being integrated. It seamlessly connects to mobile apps like Amap and Spotify. I have personally tested this feature; it starts up simply and stably, with a high safety factor, allowing voice control while driving to avoid manual operation. I recommend first checking the vehicle configuration information, such as seeing if the Apple icon is displayed on the central control screen. If compatibility issues arise, it might be due to an old cable or the need for an infotainment system software update. Essentially, CarPlay is a smart driving assistance tool that smoothly transitions phone functions into the car, making it both modern and hassle-free. Regular system updates can also extend its lifespan.
The Xingyue supports CarPlay, which works really well. I often use it for navigation while driving, much better than a phone mount. The infotainment system automatically recognizes iPhones, just plug in the cable and you're set. Most new models come with this feature, but it's safer to check your vehicle's trim level in case the base model lacks it. It's super convenient for daily driving tasks like playing music and taking calls without distractions. If it doesn't respond, try restarting the infotainment system or using a new data cable. CarPlay makes journeys smoother, and I recommend owners fully utilize it to enhance their experience.
