Does the Volkswagen Lamando have a 2.0T engine?

The Volkswagen Lamando does not have a 2.0T engine. It is equipped with the A888TSI engine, which integrates turbocharging technology, fuel direct injection technology, and variable valve timing technology. The 1.4TSI engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission, delivering a maximum power of 96 kW and a maximum torque of 225 Nm. The 1.8TSI engine is matched with a 6-speed DSG transmission, offering a maximum power of 110 kW and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. In terms of interior design, the Volkswagen Lamando features a new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a dual-dial instrument cluster with a 3.5-inch color screen in the center, and a neatly arranged dashboard. The center console includes a 6.5-inch LCD display, with the air conditioning control area at the bottom and two polygonal-style air vents at the top.
I previously researched the engine configurations of the Lamando. The older Lamando did indeed have a 2.0T GTS version, which was particularly powerful in acceleration and very stable when overtaking on highways. However, the new Lamando L has completely switched to 1.4T and 1.2T engines, completely phasing out the 2.0T. Volkswagen probably considered fuel consumption and costs, especially since fuel prices are rising rapidly now, making smaller displacement engines more popular. To be honest, the 1.4T drives quite smoothly and is sufficient for city driving while being fuel-efficient. If you really want to buy a Volkswagen with a 2.0T engine, you can check out the Sagitar or Passat, as these models still retain this powertrain configuration.
