Does the Trumpchi GM8 require an oil reset?

If the engine oil of the Trumpchi GM8 has been replaced, an oil reset is required. An oil reset refers to connecting an instrument to the vehicle's computer port to reset the oil information. Otherwise, the computer will not recognize the newly added oil and may trigger an alarm. If the engine oil has been replaced but the dashboard still displays a warning, a manual reset is needed. With the engine off, press and hold the reset button, then turn on the ignition. The system will prompt whether to reset. If the oil life has reached its limit, the oil should be replaced immediately. If the issue persists after trying the above steps, there may be a fault with the dashboard or the vehicle's computer. Method for resetting the engine oil maintenance reminder: Turn off the ignition switch, press and hold the trip meter reset button on the instrument cluster. Turn on the ignition while keeping the button pressed. The odometer display will begin counting down. When the display shows 0000.0, release the button. The wrench indicator light on the instrument cluster, which signifies maintenance, should turn off. Note: If the battery cable needs to be disconnected after this operation, the vehicle must be locked and left for at least 5 minutes; otherwise, the reset will not be recorded by the control unit.
