Does the New Lavida have an automatic door locking function?

Volkswagen Lavida does not come with an automatic door locking function as standard. If needed, it can be installed at a 4S dealership. Introduction to the automatic door locking function: When the vehicle speed reaches the preset value by the computer (usually set by the manufacturer, typically between 10 km/h to 20 km/h), the locking button will automatically engage to prevent accidental door opening. This is the most common automatic door locking method used in many car models (such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, etc.). Additional information: The door locking can only be controlled via the central locking system located on the driver's door. This system can be activated in three ways: using the car key from outside the vehicle, pressing the central locking system button, or using the remote key. Since it requires manual activation, it facilitates escape in the event of a traffic accident.
My Lavida has been driven for over a year, and it indeed has this auto-locking feature which is quite practical. I remember the salesperson helped set it up during delivery. The doors automatically lock when the speed exceeds about 15-20 km/h, with a clear clicking sound from the center console. During traffic jams or at red lights, there's no worry about someone suddenly pulling the door open. In case of an emergency brake, the car automatically unlocks, which is designed for emergency escape. However, the trunk doesn't lock along with the doors; you need to press the key separately to lock it. The specific settings are in the trip computer menu, where you can toggle the 'comfort function' option to turn this feature on or off.
My wife's new Lavida can indeed lock doors automatically, and the setup is super simple. With the vehicle powered on but not started, hold down the central locking button on the driver's door panel for more than five seconds until you hear a dashboard chime to activate the feature. When turning off the engine and removing the key, all doors will automatically unlock, making it very convenient for loading/unloading items. Once when picking up our child from school, I forgot to manually lock the car but halfway home noticed the doors had automatically locked themselves - such peace of mind. I'd recommend checking the button menu on the left side of the steering wheel, where you can also adjust the locking sensitivity to personal preference.
