Does the Magotan have a particulate filter?

Magotan does not have a particulate filter. The function of the particulate filter and the impact of removing it are as follows: Function of the particulate filter: The particulate filter is mainly used to capture particulate matter in vehicle exhaust to improve the quality of exhaust emissions and reduce air pollution. The particulate filter for diesel vehicles is called DPF, while for gasoline vehicles it is called GPF, both of which work on roughly the same principle. Impact of removing the particulate filter: All China 6 gasoline vehicles are equipped with particulate filters. Removing the particulate filter will result in failing the annual exhaust emission test. Although the particulate filter may slightly reduce vehicle output, the overall impact is not significant. For diesel vehicles, the particulate filter cannot be removed either, as it plays a crucial role in controlling emissions from diesel vehicles.
I recently researched the new Magotan when considering a car change, and it does come with a particulate filter. After the implementation of China VI emission standards, Volkswagen equipped all EA888 engines with this device, located behind the catalytic converter. In practice, I found it hardly affects highway driving, but during frequent stop-and-go city commutes, the dashboard occasionally shows a yellow warning light indicating regeneration blockage. The manual suggests shifting to S mode and maintaining 2,500 rpm for twenty minutes in such cases – I tried this once on the ring road and the system did clear automatically. You must use 95-octane fuel, and the dealership specifically emphasized using low-ash engine oil with VW50800 certification, otherwise the particulate filter could fail prematurely.
