Does the Lingpai have daytime running lights?

The Lingpai is equipped with daytime running lights. Daytime running lights are designed to make the vehicle more noticeable during daylight driving. Their purpose is not to help the driver see the road but to alert pedestrians and other drivers that a vehicle is approaching. Therefore, these lights are not for illumination but serve as signal lights. The Lingpai is a compact sedan under Guangzhou Honda, with body dimensions of 4756mm in length, 1804mm in width, and 1509mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2730mm. It is powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, delivering a maximum power of 80kW and a maximum torque of 134Nm, with peak power achieved at 6000 rpm and peak torque at 5000 rpm.
I bought my Honda Lingpai hybrid version last year, and I noticed the LED daytime running light strip under the front grille when I picked it up. It looks quite sharp when lit during the day. This feature is now standard on many cars, mainly to improve daytime visibility and make it easier for other drivers to notice you. However, the salesperson told me that the Lingpai doesn’t come with daytime running lights as standard across all trims—the base manual version might not have them. From my experience, you don’t need to do anything when starting the car; the lights automatically turn on when you shift to D gear and stay on for a few seconds after turning off the engine. Once, I saw an owner of an older model installing aftermarket daytime running lights at a modification shop, and it was quite a hassle since they had to remove the bumper for wiring. My advice is to check the specific model year’s configuration sheet before buying—the hybrid version usually has them, while the fuel version depends on the trim level. If your car comes with daytime running lights, just make sure the lens doesn’t accumulate water on rainy days.
