The Lavida series comes standard with ESP system across all models. Electronic Stability Program (ESP): The ESP system is actually a type of traction control system. Compared to other traction control systems, ESP not only controls the drive wheels but also the driven wheels. For example, in the case of oversteering, which is common in rear-wheel-drive cars where the rear wheels lose control and the car fishtails, ESP will brake the outer front wheel to stabilize the car. In the case of understeering, to correct the tracking direction, ESP will brake the inner rear wheel to adjust the driving direction. System Components: The ESP system includes ABS and ASR, extending the functionality of these two systems. Therefore, ESP can be considered the highest form of automotive anti-skid device currently available. The ESP system consists of a control unit and sensors such as steering sensors, wheel sensors, skid sensors, and lateral acceleration sensors.
