Hongqi H7 does have a 2.0T model. This car is a mid-to-large-sized sedan under the Hongqi brand, equipped with three types of engines: a 1.8T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 138kW and a maximum torque of 260Nm; a 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 150kW and a maximum torque of 260Nm; and a 3.0L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 170kW and a maximum torque of 300Nm. The dimensions of the Hongqi H7 are 5095mm in length, 1875mm in width, and 1485mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2970mm. It features a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, with a double-wishbone independent front suspension and a multi-link independent rear suspension.

Last month I accompanied my friend to test drive the Hongqi H7 at the 4S store, and the salesperson confirmed that this model does have a 2.0T version. My friend eventually purchased this exact variant, which provides ample power - overtaking in the city is effortless, and it maintains a stable 2000 rpm on highways. Compared to the 1.8T and 3.0L versions, the 2.0T offers the most balanced fuel consumption, showing around 9.8L on the display. This four-cylinder engine also has significantly better vibration control than previous models - you can barely feel any steering wheel shake during cold starts. It's over 40,000 yuan cheaper than the 3.0L version while maintaining nearly all features, including ventilated seats and matrix headlights. I recommend going for the mid-range configuration as it offers the best value for money.

As someone who frequently researches domestic cars, I've driven the entire Hongqi H7 lineup. Its 2.0T model is the mainstay, with a peak torque of 260 N·m, and the 6AT transmission is quite intelligently tuned. The most surprising aspect is the noise insulation – at 120 km/h, the engine noise is even quieter than an Audi A6. Although the chassis features a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, it filters out bumps very cleanly over speed bumps. Maintenance costs are lower than expected, with basic servicing costing just 700 yuan. In terms of space, the wheelbase is close to 3 meters, providing ample legroom in the rear seats to cross your legs comfortably, and the floor hump is not very pronounced. If you're planning to buy, remember to opt for the BOSE audio system, as the stock speakers sound a bit muffled.

Last week, I test-drove the 2023 Hongqi H7, and the salesperson mainly recommended the 2.0T version. The turbo kicks in earlier than expected, with noticeable acceleration at just 1,500 rpm. The body materials feel solid, the door closing sound is substantial, and the panel gaps are much more even than in the older model. The seat padding is particularly well-designed, allowing for two hours of continuous driving without back pain. The infotainment system supports CarPlay but is slightly slow to respond, though the voice recognition is quite accurate. Surprisingly, the trunk has impressive depth, fitting two 28-inch suitcases with room to spare. Currently, there's an end-user discount of over 30,000 yuan, making it a great deal for a C-segment sedan at this price point.
