Does the Honda Gienia meet China VI emission standards?

Honda Gienia does not meet China VI emission standards. China VI refers to the sixth-stage national standard for motor vehicle pollutant emissions. It is established to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China, aiming to prevent environmental pollution caused by exhaust emissions from compression-ignition and gas-fueled spark-ignition engine vehicles, protect the ecological environment, and safeguard human health. The Honda Gienia is a compact car launched by Dongfeng Honda, with dimensions of 4517mm in length, 1705mm in width, and 1477mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2600mm. It is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, delivering a maximum power of 96kw, paired with either a CVT continuously variable transmission or a 5-speed manual transmission.
I remember the Honda Gienia was launched at the end of 2016 and production ceased in 2017. At that time, the China 6 emission standards had not yet been officially implemented, and most parts of the country were still using the China 5 standards. Therefore, all Gienia models available on the market are China 5 versions—there simply aren’t any China 6 models. If you come across someone in the used car market claiming to have a China 6 Gienia, it’s definitely a scam. That said, the car’s rear seating space is genuinely spacious, and the Earth Dreams engine is quite fuel-efficient. It’s just that now you can only find used ones. If you’re particularly concerned about emission standards, you might as well look at newer Honda models, like the Envix or other alternatives.
