Does the Honda City have a China VI version?

Honda City currently does not have a China VI model. The China VI standard, fully known as the National Sixth Stage Emission Standard for Motor Vehicles, is established to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China. It aims to prevent and control pollution from exhaust emissions of compression-ignition and gas-fueled spark-ignition engine vehicles, protect the ecological environment, and safeguard human health. In terms of power, the Honda City is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine, coded L15B2, which delivers a maximum power of 96 kW and a maximum torque of 155 Nm. The engine reaches its maximum power at 6,600 rpm and its maximum torque at 4,600 rpm. This engine features direct fuel injection technology and uses an aluminum alloy cylinder head and block.
I remember the Honda City was mainly available in the Chinese market a few years ago, like models produced between 2018 and 2019. At that time, most versions still complied with the China 5 emission standards. The China 6 standard was gradually introduced in late 2019, requiring lower pollutant emissions, making it more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. As an economical sedan, the Honda City was likely phased out by GAC Honda around 2020 due to product line updates, with newer models like the Fit and Crider taking the spotlight—both available in China 6 versions. If you're looking for a China 6-compliant car, I recommend checking inventory at authorized dealerships or considering other newer Honda models, as City stock is rare now. Driving a China 6 car is more reassuring, especially with the government's rapid policy advancements, and regular maintenance can extend its lifespan, which is a great value. In short, it's unlikely the City has a China 6 version, so opting for newer models would be a better choice.
