Does the Electronic Throttle Need Cleaning?

Electronic throttles do require cleaning. Here are the methods for cleaning an electronic throttle: 1. Internal: To clean the electronic throttle, remove the hose connecting the throttle and the air filter. After inspecting the interior of the throttle, if it is not very dirty, you can clean it without disassembling the throttle by simply wiping it with a cloth dipped in cleaning solution. 2. Malfunction: It is not recommended to clean the electronic throttle yourself, though generally, cleaning is not necessary. The main cause of dirt is air circulation and oil residue from the exhaust gas recirculation passing near the throttle. Similarly, cleaning is unnecessary if there are no malfunctions. 3. Disassembly: Remove the intake hose and wipe it with a soft cloth or tissue. Some vehicle models may experience unstable idling after cleaning, requiring recalibration.
