EA837 does experience oil burning issues. The piston rings in this engine have relatively large clearances with the cylinder walls, which leads to oil consumption. Engine oil is critically important for an engine - it's often referred to as the 'lifeblood' of the engine. Without oil, the engine cannot operate normally. Additional notes on engine oil: 1.
