Does the car's spark plug work continuously?
1 Answers
As long as the engine is running, the car's spark plug is continuously working. The spark plug, commonly known as the 'fire mouth,' functions by discharging the high-voltage pulse electricity delivered by the high-voltage wire, breaking down the air between the two electrodes of the spark plug to generate an electric spark, thereby igniting the mixed gas in the cylinder. Car spark plugs are categorized into standard spark plugs, insulator-protruding spark plugs, fine-electrode spark plugs, tapered-seat spark plugs, multi-electrode spark plugs, and surface-discharge spark plugs. Precautions for using spark plugs: 1. Carbon buildup from long-term lack of cleaning; 2. Long-term use affects the normal operation of the engine; 3. Do not use sandpaper or metal sheets for descaling.
