Does the Cadillac XT6 come with a factory-installed HUD head-up display?

Only the Cadillac XT6 28T Platinum Sport AWD and 2.0T Platinum AWD models come with a HUD head-up display. Other models require aftermarket installation. Introduction to HUD head-up display: The HUD head-up digital display, also known as the head-up display system, uses projection technology to map important information onto the holographic semi-mirror of the windshield. This allows the driver to view critical information without looking down, thereby avoiding distraction from the road ahead and enhancing driving safety. Models equipped with HUD head-up display: Vehicles such as the Touareg 2.0TSI R-Line, BMW Z4 M40i M Sport Performance, and Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class CLS 350 4MATIC are all equipped with HUD head-up displays.
The Cadillac XT6 I previously bought was the top-tier Premium Luxury trim, which indeed comes with a factory-installed HUD (Heads-Up Display) – not all trims include it. This feature is incredibly practical, projecting speed, navigation arrows, and speed limit prompts directly onto the windshield. It minimizes the need to glance at the instrument cluster while driving, significantly reducing distractions and enhancing safety. I recall the base Sport trim might not have it and requires an optional package for installation. Pay attention to the model year when selecting—post-2020 vehicles standardize it in higher trims, so it’s advisable to confirm details with the dealer when buying new. The HUD also supports customizable display content, making highway or long-distance driving much more effortless. The installation is factory-integrated, preserving the design integrity, and the projection remains clear even in sunlight. While common among luxury SUVs, the XT6’s execution is notably refined.
