Does the BMW 3 Series require matching when replacing the electronic water pump?

No computer matching is required, nor is programming necessary. The water pump is a mechanical component, and only electronic components require matching. Electronic Water Pump: An electronic water pump utilizes piezoelectric materials as the power device, achieving complete electronic control from operation to drive. It employs an integrated electronic system to fully control liquid transfer, thereby realizing adjustability and precision in liquid transmission—a new type of water pump. Working Principle: The circular motion of the motor drives the diaphragm inside the water pump to perform reciprocating motion through mechanical devices, thereby compressing and stretching the air within the pump chamber (fixed volume). Under the action of a one-way valve, positive pressure is formed at the drainage outlet (the actual output pressure depends on the assistance received by the pump's drainage outlet and the pump's characteristics). A vacuum is created at the water intake, generating a pressure difference with the external atmospheric pressure. Under this pressure difference, water is forced into the intake and then discharged from the drainage outlet. With the kinetic energy transmitted by the motor, water is continuously sucked in and discharged, forming a stable flow.
