Does the Baojun 310 have automatic transmission models?

Baojun 310 does have automatic transmission models, with a total of three variants released: the Automatic Comfort, Automatic Fashion, and Automatic Luxury models. Based on the original manual transmission models, the Baojun 310 automatic variants are equipped with a hand-shift automatic transmission jointly developed with Japan's Aisin. Combined with the shift-by-wire knob and paddle shifters, it offers a more engaging driving experience. The dimensions of the Baojun 310 Automatic Comfort model are 4051mm in length, 1707mm in width, and 1450mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2550mm. The vehicle is powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine, delivering a maximum power of 60.3kW and a maximum torque of 116Nm.
As an owner of a manual transmission Baojun 310 for five years, I can confirm this car never had a true automatic version. When it was first launched in 2016, the entire lineup came with 5MT manual transmission - I remember wishing back then how great it would be if they offered an automatic option. In 2017, they did release AMT models with paddle shifters, but essentially it's still a manual gearbox with added electro-mechanical controls, resulting in noticeable jerky shifts. I've seen my neighbor's AMT version lurch forward during gear changes, and mechanics say this design has higher failure rates than conventional automatics. If you want smooth automatic transmission experience, I'd suggest increasing your budget to consider a Changan Yuexiang or hunting for a used Polo in the secondhand market. While this little car works fine as manual transmission daily driver, I genuinely wouldn't recommend its automatic version.
