Does the Audi A4 consume a lot of engine oil?

Not significantly. Here is additional information: Reasons for not burning oil: The cylinder walls of Audi engines appear as a honeycomb pattern under a microscope. Each tiny pore in this pattern contains a small amount of engine oil, providing better lubrication for the pistons moving up and down compared to flat cylinder walls. The honeycomb-shaped cylinder walls hold more oil than flat ones, leading to slightly higher oil consumption. True cases of burning oil: If the engine burns oil when cold, a thick blue smoke will be emitted from the exhaust pipe during the first start in the morning. If the vehicle burns oil during acceleration, a large amount of blue smoke will be emitted from the exhaust pipe when the accelerator is pressed hard while driving or when the vehicle is in neutral and the accelerator is pressed hard. In severe cases, blue smoke can even be seen in the side mirror from the exhaust pipe when accelerating hard while driving.
