Tesla does not support CarPlay. CarPlay, the in-car system released by Apple Inc., seamlessly integrates users' iOS devices and iOS experience with the dashboard system, but it only supports iPhones with a Lightning interface. Since some core functions of CarPlay overlap with those of Tesla vehicles, Tesla does not support CarPlay. CarPlay can utilize various navigation tools, but this may conflict with Tesla's built-in navigation system, such as the map function. The main feature of CarPlay is that if a user's car is equipped with CarPlay, they can connect devices like iPhones. Users can interact using the car's built-in display, control buttons, and Siri's voice control for hands-free operation. This allows users to make calls, listen to music, send and receive messages, and use navigation simply and safely. In Tesla vehicles, Apple users cannot access Apple Music through a dedicated app (Tesla provides a dedicated Spotify app instead). They can only stream music from their iPhone to the Tesla car via Bluetooth. CarPlay is an in-car system developed by Apple. If a car supports CarPlay, users with iPhone 5 or later models can connect via a data cable or wirelessly (only some models support wireless connection). This enables them to use iPhone functions on the car's central display. CarPlay includes features like map navigation, phone calls, messaging, music, calendar, and Siri voice control.
