Does Mercedes-Benz coolant need to be diluted with water at a 1:1 ratio?

Mercedes-Benz's original coolant needs to be diluted with water at a 1:1 ratio, but it must be strictly mixed with distilled water. Coolant, also known as antifreeze, primarily functions to prevent freezing in winter due to low temperatures, avoid engine overheating in summer, and prevent scale formation and corrosion. The general replacement cycle for coolant is approximately 2 years or 40,000 kilometers. Luxury vehicles have a longer replacement cycle. Nowadays, coolants are pre-mixed and can be directly added for use. Note: Do not mix coolants of different brands or colors; if the coolant level is insufficient, a small amount of purified water can be added. Mercedes-Benz's original coolant has poor fluidity, is relatively viscous, and has inferior heat dissipation properties, hence the need for a 1:1 dilution. The antifreeze effect is better after dilution with water.
