Does Installing a Front Splitter with Drilling Damage the Car?
1 Answers
Properly installing a front splitter does not damage the car. Types of front splitters: Currently, front splitters generally come in two installation methods. One is directly bonding to the lower part of the bumper using high-strength adhesive. The other involves drilling holes in the lower part of the bumper and securing it with screws and nuts. This method is more reliable but is considered a damaging installation. Detailed overview of front splitter installation: Currently, adding side skirts and front splitters is considered illegal modification. Therefore, even if you proactively report to the vehicle management office after modification, they will only require the owner to restore the original condition. Hence, it is not recommended to privately install front splitters and side skirts. Currently, legal modifications mainly include wheels of the same specifications as the original factory, roof racks under 300MM, interiors that do not alter the vehicle's original structure, body color, side steps, grilles, and braking systems.
