Haval has not released any sedan models, as it primarily focuses on the SUV market. Sedan: A sedan (saloon car) refers to a vehicle designed to transport passengers and their personal belongings, with seating arranged between two axles. Including the driver, the maximum number of seats does not exceed nine. Generally, sedans emphasize comfort, prioritizing the passengers. Additionally, they are designed with economic considerations in mind, featuring engines with moderate horsepower, small displacement, and low fuel consumption. SUV: SUV stands for Sport Utility Vehicle, which differs from ORV (Off-Road Vehicle) designed for rugged terrain. The full name of SUV is Sport Utility Vehicle or Suburban Utility Vehicle, meaning a suburban multi-purpose vehicle. It combines the space functionality of a station wagon with the off-road capabilities of a pickup truck.

Speaking of the Haval brand, I've actually done some in-depth research on it. From its inception, Haval has specialized in the SUV market, with Great Wall Motors positioning it very clearly as the 'Global SUV Expert.' After making a big splash with the H6 back in the day, Haval has gone deeper and deeper into the SUV sector, offering everything from urban SUVs to off-road models. You might wonder, doesn't Great Wall Group have sedans? Well, they actually do—like ORA, which focuses on new energy compact cars, and Wey, which also has sedan product lines. The other day, while reviewing the financial report, Haval's CEO emphasized their SUV-focused strategy again. Personally, I think this kind of specialization is great. Just look at their new models like the Cool Dog and the second-gen Big Dog—they're all making waves in niche SUV markets.

As a long-time owner, let me share a few words. I've been driving my Haval H5 for seven years. Honestly, I've never seen a Haval sedan - the 4S showroom is filled exclusively with SUVs. The salesperson explained that Haval is Great Wall's dedicated brand for off-road and urban SUVs, with sedan operations handled under Wey and Ora. However, Haval's recently launched Dragon series is quite interesting, like the plug-in hybrid Xiaolong MAX which still maintains an SUV design. During my last maintenance visit, the technician mentioned Haval's entire production line is designed to SUV standards, with even the chassis tuning optimized for complex road conditions.

Car enthusiasts may have noticed that HAVAL also uses its brand to promote SUVs in overseas markets. The newly launched H9 facelift this year still follows the rugged off-road route, and even the new energy transformation model, the Menglong, retains a ladder frame structure. At the auto show, I asked the engineers, and they said that concentrating R&D resources is the key to maintaining technological advantages. This strategy has indeed paid off—HAVAL has maintained its position as the domestic SUV sales champion for 11 consecutive years, with high market shares in Russia and Australia as well.
