ETC is generally installed in the microwave window, but it can also be installed elsewhere as long as it does not obstruct the driver's view and can detect the toll station's detection equipment. Correct ETC installation positions: For small vehicles such as cars and minivans, the ETC card and OBU device should be installed in the upper middle part of the front windshield. For large vehicles like trucks and buses, the installation position is in the lower middle part. ETC installation requirements: the height should be no less than 1.2 meters and no more than 2.5 meters; the installation angle N should be between 30º and 90º (the angle between the surface of the electronic tag and the horizontal plane). The ETC installation process is as follows: Upon receiving the device, first check if the ETC card and electronic tag (OBU) are damaged. Press the anti-tamper button on the back of the OBU, and the red light will briefly illuminate. The OLED screen will display "Tag Invalid" or "Please Insert Card," indicating the device is functioning normally. Clean the front windshield to ensure the surface is smooth, clean, and dry. Then peel off the protective film on the back of the OBU and stick it to the installation position. Press firmly for 2-3 minutes to remove any air bubbles. Insert the ETC card with the front side facing the driver and the back side facing the windshield, ensuring the chip is inserted into the OBU device.

Is Roewe a Domestic or Joint Venture Brand?

Roewe is a domestic car brand. Here is more information about Roewe vehicles: 1. Roewe is an automobile brand under SAIC Motor Corporation Limited, launched in October 2006. The technology for this brand's vehicles originates from Rover, which SAIC previously acquired, though SAIC did not purchase the 'Rover' brand itself. 2. Roewe's three major components (engine, transmission, and chassis) rely heavily on joint venture technologies. The chassis incorporates many technologies from SsangYong Motors, generally resulting in a stiffer ride. Currently, the Blue Core series engines used in Roewe vehicles are co-developed by SAIC and General Motors. These engines perform well in terms of fuel economy and power output, ranking among the top in domestic brands.

Can You Downshift Directly from Fifth Gear to Second Gear in a Manual Transmission?

Manual transmission downshifting can be done directly from fifth gear to second gear. Manual Transmission Downshifting Techniques First gear is used for speeds of 0 to 15 km/h, typically for starting the car or climbing hills; second gear is for 15 to 20 km/h, often used when turning; third gear is for 20 to 40 km/h, suitable for passing through intersections; fourth gear is for 40 to 60 km/h, and fifth gear is for speeds above 60 km/h. Manual Transmission Precautions: Whether upshifting or downshifting, it is not necessary to follow a strict order. However, it is crucial to ensure that the gear matches the speed to avoid damaging the transmission.

What Are the Main Raw Materials of Brake Pads?

The main raw materials of brake pads are adhesives, reinforcing fibers, fillers, and friction modifiers. Below is a detailed introduction about them: 1. Adhesives include resins and rubber powders: Their function is to liquefy and then solidify at high temperatures, turning the brake pad from powder into a solid block. 2. Reinforcing fibers serve as the skeleton of the brake pad: These include aramid fibers, steel wool fibers, copper fibers, mineral fibers, ceramic fibers, potassium titanate whiskers, etc. 3. Fillers: Different raw materials of brake pads have varying mesh sizes and diameters, requiring certain gaps to be filled. 4. Friction modifiers increase friction: These are materials harder than the brake disc, such as aluminum oxide, zirconium silicate, brown corundum, etc.

What are the components of the engine block assembly?

The engine block assembly mainly consists of the cylinder head, cylinder head cover, cylinder gasket, cylinder block, main bearing cap, and oil pan. Definition of the engine block assembly: The engine block assembly serves as the framework of the engine, providing the mounting base for the crankshaft connecting rod mechanism, valve train, and other major components of the engine's various systems. Classification of the engine block assembly: Features of dry cylinder liners: The outer wall does not directly contact the cooling water. Wall thickness ranges from 1 to 3mm. They offer good strength and rigidity but are more complex to manufacture, difficult to disassemble, and have poor heat dissipation. Features of wet cylinder liners: The outer wall directly contacts the cooling water. Wall thickness ranges from 5 to 9mm. They provide excellent heat dissipation, uniform cooling, and easier manufacturing. However, their strength and rigidity are inferior to dry liners, and they are prone to water leakage.
