Does an Expired Temporary License Plate Affect Vehicle Registration?

An expired temporary license plate does not affect vehicle registration, but it affects the vehicle's operation on the road. If you find that your temporary license plate has expired, the vehicle management office may notify you to proceed with obtaining a new permanent plate, but you definitely cannot drive with an expired temporary license plate. New vehicles should not use temporary license plates for more than 15 days, and owners should promptly apply for a permanent license plate from the vehicle management authority. If the permanent license plate has not been received yet, you can only apply for another temporary license plate. According to regulations, the following situations may result in refusal of registration: 1. The proofs or certificates submitted by the vehicle owner are invalid; 2. The origin certificate of the vehicle has been altered, or the vehicle owner recorded in the origin certificate does not match the identity proof; 3. The proofs or certificates submitted by the vehicle owner do not match the vehicle.
