Does a private car need inspection in the eighth year after the seventh year inspection?

If the vehicle has already undergone inspection in the seventh year before the implementation of the new regulations, it still needs to be inspected in the eighth year according to the rules; if the vehicle was inspected in the seventh year after the new regulations took effect, it does not require inspection in the eighth year. The new inspection regulations were implemented on November 20, 2020. Below is an introduction to vehicle inspection requirements: 1. Passenger transport vehicles: inspected once a year within 5 years; inspected every 6 months after exceeding 5 years; 2. Cargo vehicles and large/medium non-passenger transport vehicles: inspected once a year within 10 years; inspected every 6 months after exceeding 10 years; 3. Small and mini non-passenger transport vehicles: inspected once every 2 years within 6 years; inspected once a year after exceeding 6 years; inspected every 6 months after exceeding 15 years; 4. Motorcycles: inspected once every 2 years within 4 years; inspected once a year after exceeding 4 years; 5. Tractors and other motor vehicles: inspected once a year. Operational vehicles that pass safety inspection within the specified period do not need repeated safety inspections; 6. Vehicles exceeding the scrapping age: cannot be transferred (sold), but can continue to be used. For sales, the vehicle owner can first obtain a scrapping certificate (to deregister the vehicle's records) from the vehicle management office before proceeding with the sale.
