Does a New Car Need to Have Its System Flashed?

For normal household cars, it is not recommended to flash the ECU. Reasons for not recommending: The car's powertrain is matched with the chassis, suspension, brakes, and shock absorbers. If only the power is increased without upgrading other configurations, the car will inevitably develop issues and pose safety hazards. Introduction to ECU: ECU stands for Electronic Control Unit, also known as the onboard computer or vehicle computer. It consists of large-scale integrated circuits such as microcontrollers, memory, input/output interfaces, analog-to-digital converters, and drivers. How the ECU works: After igniting and starting the engine, the ECU begins operation. The central controller retrieves fixed programs from the memory and processes and executes the programs in sequence based on signals sent by various sensors, such as controlling the air-fuel ratio, ignition timing, idle conditions, etc.
