Do You Need to Replace the Wheel Hub During Tire Rotation?
1 Answers
Under normal circumstances, the car wheel hub does not need to be replaced. However, if it is deformed or damaged, it must be replaced to avoid affecting driving safety. The method for rotating car tires is as follows: 1. First, park the car on a level and safe surface, turn on the hazard lights, and engage the handbrake. After confirming safety, place a triangular warning sign at an appropriate distance behind the car. 2. Retrieve the spare tire, tire wrench, and jack. 3. First, use a lug wrench to loosen the wheel nuts, then place the jack on the chassis support and slowly raise the car until the tire is slightly touching the ground. Then, remove the nuts one by one in a crisscross pattern. 4. Raise the car further with the jack until the tire is just off the ground, ensuring there is enough space to fit the properly inflated spare tire. Then, remove the tire to be replaced and install the spare tire. 5. After installing the tire, ensure the nuts are correctly positioned and tighten them in a crisscross pattern, but not to the tightest state. After lowering the wheel slowly with the jack, fully tighten the nuts.
