Do You Need to Release the Throttle When Shifting Gears?

Shifting gears does not require releasing the throttle. The steps for upshifting are as follows: 1. When accelerating to the speed corresponding to the next gear, simultaneously release the throttle and quickly press the clutch all the way down. 2. Place your right hand gently on the gear lever and perform the upshift operation lightly, slowly, and continuously, following the clutch operation standard of two fast movements, one slow movement, and one pause. The steps for downshifting are as follows: 1. Quickly press the brake, stabilize the brake pedal when the vehicle noticeably decelerates, and when the speed slightly decreases, quickly press the clutch all the way down while continuing to hold the brake steady. 2. Once the speed drops to the desired level, release the brake, place your right hand gently on the gear lever, and then downshift to the appropriate gear based on the current speed.
